Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Briggs Straton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Inoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Antonio Inoki has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Briggs Straton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Antonio Inoki!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Donatello Bradman and Bruno Hogan.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Straton tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Inoki counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Straton has his takedown stuffed
enabling Inoki to counter with a crisp jab.

Straton fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Inoki, pushing him back against the cage.
Inoki tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Straton smiles and moves away.
Straton misses with a takedown
and Inoki counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Briggs Straton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Straton wants to clinch
and Inoki counters with a nice uppercut.
Inoki stalks Straton and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Straton's face. Straton staggers backwards, shaken.

It looks like Briggs Straton has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Straton closes the distance looking to clinch

and Inoki counters with a shoot takedown. Straton fights it but they end up in guard.

Inoki drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Inoki jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Inoki is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Inoki gets to his feet. Straton looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Straton has his takedown stuffed

and Inoki holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Briggs Straton. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Inoki ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Inoki no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Inoki manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Straton manages to get himself to full guard.
Straton can't keep his opponent in guard - Inoki advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Inoki takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Straton knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Inoki on the ground.
Straton is in trouble now - Inoki has advanced to mount!
Inoki controlling his opponent.
Straton is bucking up trying to escape but Inoki cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Inoki takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Inoki has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Straton's face.
Inoki content just to control the position here.
Straton swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Inoki working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Inoki takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Straton has left one of his arms exposed and Inoki doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Straton screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
