Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jack Daniels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ned Ryerson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Ryerson's choice of entrance music: I Got You Babe. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Daniels looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Daniels is trying to control. Ryerson wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Ryerson tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Daniels is able to avoid easily.
Ryerson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

and Ryerson counters with a head kick. That will keep Daniels thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Oh Daniels is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

That's time! Daniels's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Daniels accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Daniels wants to control from the top but Ryerson keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

and Ryerson counters with a nice low kick that buckles Daniels's knee momentarily.

and Daniels connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Daniels sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Daniels takes a head kick and keeps coming.

and Ryerson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Daniels jabs Ryerson right on the nose. Ryerson blinks but takes it well.
Ryerson throws a push kick but Daniels slaps the foot to one side.

and Daniels counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Ryerson throws a nice looking combination but Daniels bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Ned Ryerson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Daniels closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Ryerson did well to prevent Daniels getting side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
