The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nash fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Haidar manages to avoid it.
Haidar dips to his left and cracks Nash with an uppercut!
Haidar lands a jab to the nose.
Haidar misses with an uppercut
and Nash counters with a right hand to the body.
Haidar moves out of range of the strikes.
Haidar scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Nash walks into a straight right hand from Haidar.
Haidar rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Nash counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

It looks like Reggie Haidar has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Haidar lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Nash at a distance.
Nash throws a hook but Haidar avoids it easily.
Reggie Haidar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Nash counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Nash is looking to chop away at Haidar's legs.
Haidar ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Nash moves away.
Nash tries to land a leg kick but Haidar saw it coming and moves away.
Nash dodges the punch combination from Haidar.
Haidar cracks Nash with a right hand to the side of the head.

Haidar lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Haidar.

Nash drops his hands momentarily and Haidar takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Nash takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Nash throws an off balance right hand
and Haidar cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
No joy there for Haidar, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Haidar lands a left and a right that send Nash crashing to the mat, dazed. Haidar thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Nash is rocked!

It looks like Amare Nash has been cut.
Haidar tries to bum rush Nash with a series of wild strikes but Nash uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Nash is still on wobbly legs! Can Haidar finish him?
Nash misses with a lunging right hand
and Haidar counters with a left to the body.
Nash looks gassed!

Haidar cracks Nash with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Nash looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Haidar finish him?
Nash blocks a head kick by Haidar.
Haidar is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.

Nash is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Haidar just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! And now a right hook, right on the button! Nash has gone limp, and this one is over!
