Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sammy Sandbag (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cleve Drogan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cleve Drogan will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drogan closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Drogan throws a hook but Sandbag avoids it easily.

Sandbag looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Sandbag is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Drogan looking for a sweep. Not yet Drogan, not yet.

Sandbag gets to his feet. Drogan looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Drogan shoots and misses

and Sandbag counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Drogan!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Sandbag trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Sandbag tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Drogan bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Drogan drops back, looking for a kneebar! Sandbag looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Sandbag looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Sandbag!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sandbag gets to mount! Drogan was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Drogan wants to hold on but Sandbag pushes him away.
Drogan manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Drogan is trying to maintain the position but Sandbag is very close to passing his half guard.
Drogan is refusing to be controlled, as Sandbag sits in half guard.
Sandbag is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Drogan is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Sandbag wants to get back to his feet.

Drogan looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Sandbag content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Drogan won't allow Sandbag to pass to mount.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Sandbag tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Drogan paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Sandbag takes the fight into the clinch.
Sandbag with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Sandbag is breathing heavily.
Sandbag prevents Drogan from breaking the clinch.
Sandbag lands a nice elbow.
Drogan can't break the clinch.
Drogan wants to break the clinch but can't.
Drogan takes an elbow to the temple.
Drogan wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Sandbag has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Drogan is trying to keep an underhook but Sandbag manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Drogan wants to get back to full guard.
Drogan regains full guard. Nicely done.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Drogan had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Sandbag is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Drogan Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Sandbag's back instead.
Drogan doesn't have the hooks in and Sandbag manages to turn into his guard.

Sandbag stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Drogan swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Drogan looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sandbag is one step ahead there.
Sandbag looking to pass the guard.
Drogan looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Sandbag puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Drogan manages to get to full guard.
Sandbag trying to control but Drogan is working from the bottom.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Drogan is trying to keep Sandbag in close.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Sandbag slips a jab and a cross from Drogan.
Drogan throws a series of punches but Sandbag moves out of range.

Sandbag darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Sandbag missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Drogan gets full guard.

Drogan working for submissions but it's allowed Sandbag to get to half guard.
Drogan is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Sandbag's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Sandbag's back!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Drogan is controlling the position but Sandbag somehow manages to roll and ends up with half guard.
Sandbag tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Drogan seems to be working for a kimura but Sandbag defends the submission attempt.
Sandbag is pressing down on Drogan's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Drogan is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Sandbag is defending against the submission attempts here by Drogan.

Sandbag won't allow Drogan to pass to mount.
Sandbag controlling the position well.
Drogan uses his free foot to push down on Sandbag's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Sandbag.
Drogan moves to take his opponent's back.

Drogan is working for a rear naked choke. Sandbag is not defending it well and Drogan has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Sandbag refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Sandbag's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
