Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rob Ey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Columbo Gatti and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
White circles away from the clinch attempt.
Ey loads up on a big right hand but White slips the punch.
Ey fails with an attempt to clinch.
Ey throws a series of punches but White moves out of range.

and White connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

White is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
White thows a huge punch but Ey dodges it nicely.
White wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Ey uses the opportunity to regain full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

White really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ey. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

White has gone for a leg lock! Ey slips out almost immediately though and dives into White's guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

No joy there for Ey, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as White accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
White makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

White is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Chris White comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well White has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
