Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mahdi Makungu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jarppi Huhtis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Huhtis throws out a loose jab but Makungu uses good head movement to avoid it.
Makungu misses with a low kick.
Makungu takes one to the side of the head.

It looks like Mahdi Makungu has been cut.
Makungu thuds his shin into the meat of Huhtis's side.
Makungu misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A leg kick checked by Huhtis.
Huhtis throws a shot from downtown. Makungu moves away and avoids it.
Makungu misses with a kick to the body.

Makungu drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Makungu wants to pass the guard but Huhtis is keeping the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Huhtis looking to control.
Huhtis is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Huhtis throws a nice elbow from the bottom.

Huhtis is striking off his back. Makungu thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.

Makungu is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Huhtis is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Huhtis missing with punches from the bottom.

Makungu has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Huhtis defend it? Makungu steps over the head and cranks it - Huhtis is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Makungu!
