PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Buffalo Buffalo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyrone Spong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Buffalo might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Buffalo. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spong throws a sloppy head kick and Buffalo moves out of range easily.
Spong looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Buffalo is fending him off so far but Spong persists. Nope, Buffalo circles away and we're back to standing.
Spong slips a jab from Buffalo.
Buffalo misses with an uppercut
and Spong counters with an inside leg kick.
Spong misses with a body kick.
Buffalo avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Tyrone Spong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Buffalo crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Spong - the referee stops the clock and Buffalo gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Spong. Buffalo manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Buffalo tries to sprawl but Spong drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Buffalo holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Buffalo is looking for a sweep. Spong is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Spong looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Spong uses his free foot to push down on Buffalo's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Buffalo.

Spong looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Buffalo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Spong on the ground.

Spong is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Spong extends the arm and Buffalo is forced to tap!
