The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chuteboxe throws a head kick that misses.
Hernandez doesn't manage to clinch there - Chuteboxe circles away.
Chuteboxe misses with a body kick.
Hernandez moves out of range of the leg kick from Chuteboxe.
Chuteboxe misses with a low kick.
Chuteboxe throws a sloppy head kick and Hernandez moves out of range easily.
Chuteboxe avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
A right-left combo lands from Hernandez.

It looks like Spartan Chuteboxe has been cut.
Chuteboxe looks gassed!

Hernandez shoots in and bounces Chuteboxe off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hernandez is pushing down on Chuteboxe's leg trying to pass to half guard. Chuteboxe is fighting to maintain full guard but Hernandez has managed to sneak the leg through.
Hernandez is keen to just control but Chuteboxe is a slippery customer.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Chuteboxe really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hernandez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Hernandez cracks Chuteboxe with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Hernandez lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Chuteboxe hang on?

The cut above Spartan Chuteboxe's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Hernandez has hold of Chuteboxe's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Chuteboxe manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Spartan Chuteboxe's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Spartan Chuteboxe's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
