Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Evo Merick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shiva Red Gym (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Merick comes to the cage accompanied by system of a down chop suey. Red Gym has chosen Fight Red Fight as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Evo Merick has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Red Gym throws a head kick that Merick semi-blocks.
Merick has his takedown stuffed
and Red Gym counters with a left and a right that stings Merick.

Merick is rocked!
Crunch! Red Gym slams his shin into Merick's torso.
Shiva Red Gym seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A chopping leg kick lands by Red Gym.
An inside leg kick lands from Red Gym.
Red Gym stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Oh Merick is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A slapping body kick lands there for Red Gym.
Merick is breathing heavily.
Merick stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Red Gym.
Merick seems to have got his legs back now.
Red Gym rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Merick moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Merick takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Red Gym lands with a right that hurts Merick. Merick looks to clinch but Red Gym throws a short knee that drops Merick. This one is all over!
