Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anupo Anubis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Khalifa Khalifa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Anupo Anubis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Khalifa Khalifa!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Bruno Hogan and Damien Edna.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Khalifa throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Anubis was covering up waiting for the punch and Khalifa finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Khalifa working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Anubis's head.

Anubis had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Khalifa defends it easily.

Anubis working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Khalifa doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Khalifa manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Anubis escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Khalifa gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Khalifa keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Anubis's head.

Anubis can't keep his opponent in guard - Khalifa advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Anubis is pressing down on Khalifa's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Khalifa content to stall in guard here.
Khalifa is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Khalifa throws a big right hand that misses.
Anubis tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Khalifa stands and throws Anubis's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Khalifa lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Anubis down.
Khalifa cracks Anubis with an elbow. That is naaassty.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Anubis sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Anubis is trying to stand up here but Khalifa is controlling him well.

Khalifa wants to pass the guard but Anubis is defending well.
Khalifa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Anubis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Khalifa passes the guard and advances to mount!

Anubis is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Oh Anubis is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Anubis takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Khalifa's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
