The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Hart with that takedown attempt.
Nisse tries to clinch up
and Hart counters with a right hand to the body.
Hart just misses with a punch to the body.
Hart tries for a takedown but Nisse sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Nisse defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hart.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chad Hart. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nisse tries to clinch up
and Hart counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Nisse uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hart.
Nisse wants to clinch but Hart slips to the side
and Hart cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Hart throws a series of punches but Nisse moves out of range.

Hart closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Hart prevents Nisse from standing back up.

Nisse kicks Hart off and gets back to his feet.
Nisse tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Hart cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Hart shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hart showed some decent athleticism there.

Hart not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Hart passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Nisse!
Hart wants to control the pace but Nisse is squirming around nicely.
Hart content just to control the position here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nisse is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Hart tries to control but Nisse wriggling away.

Hart sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Nisse trying desperately to get to his feet.
Hart landing strikes from the mount.
Hart is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Nisse can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Hart cracks Nisse with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Hart won't let Nisse get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Nisse is in a horrible position here. Hart smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hart lands a nice shot to the head.

Hart loads up with a big shot that hurts Nisse! He's pulled Hart in close but Hart has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Nisse survive? More strikes from Hart and Nisse is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!
