The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Zacepin is defended easily by Jones.
Horrible takedown by Jones or perhaps it was just good defense by Zacepin which made him look bad.

Zacepin looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Jones!
Jones is in all sorts of trouble here.
Jones avoids a strike by Zacepin and manages to complete a very nice reversal in the process, to end up in Zacepin's guard! Fantastic escape!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jones drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Zacepin manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Jones has Zacepin in his guard.
Jones wants to sweep here but Zacepin controlling him for the moment.
Jones has a closed guard, preventing Zacepin from standing up.

Jones is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Zacepin trying to stand up but can't free himself from Jones's guard.
Zacepin will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Jones looking to hit a scissor sweep but Zacepin is one step ahead there.

Zacepin had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jones defends it easily.
Jones controls from within his opponent's guard.

Jones trying to control but Zacepin is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Zacepin is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Jones advances position into side control!
Jones wants to lay and pray for a moment but Zacepin keeps working.
Jones working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

Jones tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jones has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Zacepin manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Jones uses his free foot to push down on Zacepin's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Zacepin.
Zacepin is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Zacepin is breathing heavily.
Jones prevents Zacepin from getting the reversal.
Zacepin's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Jones looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Jones tries to control but Zacepin wriggling away.

Jones throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Zacepin has his hands clasped together but Jones breaks the hold and Zacepin is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Jones!
