The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slobovic shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Voskresensky cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Voskresensky fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Slobovic misses with a takedown attempt
and Voskresensky counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Slobovic has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Voskresensky avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Felix Voskresensky has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Igor Slobovic.
Voskresensky is pushing Slobovic up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Slobovic is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Slobovic gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Slobovic throws a big right hand that misses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Voskresensky looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Slobovic is defending well. Voskresensky quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Slobovic has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Voskresensky celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
