Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Erwin Rodriguez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jerry Ferro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rodriguez comes to the ring accompanied by My time is NOW!. Jerry Ferro is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Hirohito Nitta and Yukihiro Shimada.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferro tries for a takedown but Rodriguez sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Ferro tries to close the distance and clinch but Rodriguez swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Ferro fails with a takedown attempt.
Rodriguez throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ferro's waist but Ferro gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rodriguez off to one side.

Rodriguez drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Ferro working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rodriguez doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Ferro is tightening it up a little... Rodriguez has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Rodriguez reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Rodriguez taps out! nice BJJ there by Ferro!
