Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vitor Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dondi Daga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Vitor Silva has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Vitor Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Dondi Daga!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Richard Clark and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Daga lands a big head kick that sends Silva tumbling to the mat! Daga takes a step backwards and waves Silva back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Silva is rocked!


It looks like Vitor Silva has been cut.

Daga closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Oh Silva is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Daga's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Silva seems to have got his legs back now.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Dondi Daga hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Daga slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Daga had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Silva defends it easily.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Daga is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Silva is aware though and is defending well.
Daga is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Silva postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Daga is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Silva, into his guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Daga pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Daga closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Silva regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Daga.
Daga is looking to work some ground and pound but Silva has wrist control.
Silva wants to stand and escape but Daga is having none of it.
Silva is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Daga in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Daga throws and elbow that misses. Silva uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Daga's guard. Nice move by Silva!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

and Daga counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Daga.

Daga postures up in Silva's guard and throws a big left but Silva blocks it.

And that's the end of the fight!
Dondi Daga comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Daga has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
