Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kip Pur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcos Barbosa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marcos Barbosa!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barbosa shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Barbosa was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Pur is in all sorts of trouble here.
Pur is working hard here to advance position.
Pur tries to improve his position but instead Barbosa has taken his back!
Pur breaks Barbosa's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Pur has gone for a leg lock! Barbosa slips out almost immediately though and dives into Pur 's guard.
Pur had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Barbosa defends it easily.
Barbosa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pur . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Pur lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Barbosa!

Pur goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Barbosa is on top in guard.
Pur looking for a guillotine here but Barbosa defends easily.
Pur manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Pur wants to control the pace but Barbosa is squirming around nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Pur looking for a guillotine from mount but Barbosa is having none of it.
Pur tries to control but Barbosa wriggling away.
Barbosa swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Pur punching from mount but Barbosa doing a good job of avoiding damage.
Pur can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Barbosa is looking to escape.
Pur goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Barbosa is on top in guard.

Pur looking for a sweep. Not yet Pur , not yet.
Barbosa missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Pur keeping moving, preventing Barbosa from controlling successfully.
Barbosa stopping the sweep attempt from Pur .
Barbosa must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Pur is trying to keep Barbosa in close.
Barbosa won't allow Pur to sweep him here.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Pur will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Pur manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Pur tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Barbosa is in a horrible position here. Pur smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Pur working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kip Pur dominated that round.
That's time! Pur 's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Barbosa misses with a takedown
and Pur counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Pur shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Barbosa napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Pur looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pur goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Barbosa rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Pur 's guard! Nice work there by Barbosa!
Barbosa postures up.
Pur working for a triangle but Barbosa defends it easily.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Pur is on top in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Pur preventing the sweep.
Barbosa has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Pur is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Barbosa.
Barbosa is breathing heavily.
Pur tries for a kimura but Barbosa is defending well.
Pur is working to tighten is grip on Barbosa's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Barbosa has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Pur is really squeezing tight and eventually Barbosa passes out! Pur breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
