Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Billy Lambert (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Janis Spalva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Janis Spalva struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 147.3lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Billy Lambert!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Janis Spalva!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Richard Clark and Chris Edwards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spalva misses with a hook. Lambert ducked under it nicely.
Spalva ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lambert moves away.
Lambert throws a series of punches but Spalva avoids them all with ease.

Lambert closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Spalva to the mat! Spalva manages to get full guard.
Lambert stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Spalva swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Lambert stands up from Spalva's guard - Lambert perhaps looking for a knockout.
Nice defenses there by Lambert.

Spalva gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Lambert to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Lambert drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lambert jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Lambert throwing strikes from guard but Spalva blocks nicely.

Lambert decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Spalva, up you get!

Spalva gets caught flat footed, as Lambert shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Lambert drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Lambert seems to have locked his on tight now - Spalva screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Lambert, as he picks up the win!
