The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Alvarez shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Harris's guard.
Alvarez not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Harris wants to get back to his feet but Alvarez is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Alvarez drops back looking for a leg! Harris is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Harris manages to kick Alvarez off! Alvarez jumps back into Harris's guard.

Alvarez shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Harris pinned against the cage. Harris gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Harris stuffs the takedown attempt from Alvarez. Alvarez gets slowly back to his feet.

Alvarez takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Harris throws a hook to the side of Alvarez's head but Alvarez sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Alvarez feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
