Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hunter Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Thompson's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Jones connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Thompson scrambles back to his feet.

The fighters circle momentarily. Jones darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Thompson. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Mike Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jones is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Thompson had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Jones lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Thompson walks into a stiff left hand from Jones.
Jones connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Thompson's hands.
Jones fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Thompson on the side of the head.
Oh Thompson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Oooooh!!! Jones has knocked Thompson down with a huge combo! Jones steps away and waves a wobbly Thompson back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Jones drops Thompson with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Thompson looks back up at him and smiles so Jones waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Jones walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Thompson drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Jones swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Thompson's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
