Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Damien Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ales Smid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smid has chosen Sandstorm as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Paulsen Ambrosius and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson lands with a shot to the body.
Jackson throws a lazy uppercut
letting Smid counter with a right hand.
Jackson tries to clinch but Smid moves away
and Smid connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Jackson wants to clinch but Smid slips to the side
and Smid cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Jackson throws a left and a right that both miss
and Smid cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Jackson throws an off balance right hand
and Smid counters with a nice uppercut.
Smid circles away from the clinch attempt
and Smid connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Jackson shoots in looking for a takedown. Smid tries to sprawl out of it but Jackson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Smid manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Smid scoring well with a low kick there.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Jackson swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Smid counters with a nice low kick that buckles Jackson's knee momentarily.
Jackson is breathing heavily.

Smid thuds his right hand into Jackson's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Jackson steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Smid. That one must have hurt.
Smid connects with a body shot that sends Jackson's belly button to the back.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Jackson misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Smid counters with a nice body kick.
Smid moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
It looks like Damien Jackson has been cut.
Smid throws a quick inside leg kick.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A slapping leg kick lands for Smid.
Ales Smid is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Smid connects with a leg kick. Jackson looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
A punch lands to the side of Jackson 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Smid is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Jackson had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Smid, as that shot connected.
Smid connects with a right hand. Jackson shakes it off.
Smid lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
A chopping leg kick lands by Smid.
Jackson misses with a right hand
and Smid counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Smid lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Smid connects with a nice looking jab.
Jackson is rocked!
Smid scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Smid throws a quick inside leg kick.
Smid feints and then cracks Jackson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Jackson down.
Damien Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
