The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matthews forces Sultan back against the cage and clinches.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Matthews creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Sultan takes a shot to the head.
It looks like Santian Sultan has been cut.
Sultan is trying to push Matthews away but Matthews has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Sultan looking to slow down the pace here.
Matthews lands a left hand that snaps the head of Sultan backwards.
Sultan has a couple of punches blocked by Matthews.
Sultan tries to score a body lock takedown but Matthews shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Sultan is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Matthews is struggling to control the position.
Matthews gets a warning from the ref for wasting time.
Matthews lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Sultan.
Sultan looks gassed!
Matthews manages to break the clinch.
Matthews connects with a picture perfect right hand that knocks Sultan out cold! This one is over in a flash!
