PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hugh Honey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keiji Kuroda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Honey comes to the cage accompanied by "That's All" by Phil Collins. Kuroda has chosen Cherry Blossoms as his entrance music. Keiji Kuroda will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Keiji Kuroda!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Sergei Dronov and Dmitry Maklakov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kuroda misses with a shot to the body
and Honey counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Kuroda does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Honey misses with a hook. Kuroda ducked under it nicely.
Honey slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
A head kick misses from Kuroda.
Kuroda takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Kuroda is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Some bone on bone action there as Honey checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Honey takes a swing at Kuroda's ribcage but misses.
Kuroda closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A combination from Honey does no damage.
Kuroda ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Honey jabs Kuroda to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Kuroda looks gassed!
Honey lands a jab to the head.
Honey lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Honey drops Kuroda with a straight right hand, right on the button! Honey follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
