Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ripley has closed the distance and engaged Cross in a clinch.
Cross taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Cross tries to work over Ripley's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Ripley breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Cross closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Cross looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Ripley is avoiding damage well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cross is working to tighten is grip on Ripley's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Ripley has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Cross is really squeezing tight and eventually Ripley passes out! Cross breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
