The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scott swings widly with a right hand
and Jackson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Action Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Scott throws a lazy uppercut
and Scott takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Jackson tries to clinch up.

Scott tries to pull guard but Jackson holds him up against the cage and eventually Scott drops back down to his feet.

Scott jumps guard but Jackson stands there with Scott around his waist. Scott gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Scott tries to pull guard but Jackson won't allow it.

Jackson pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Scott tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Jackson just stands there and leans against the cage.
Scott jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Jackson walks away with a smile on his face. Scott gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

and Jackson counters with a shoot takedown. Scott fights it but they end up in guard.
Jackson wants to control from the top but Scott keeps moving.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Jackson is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Scott is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Scott has escaped and now he's on top!
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Jackson is on top in guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Scott is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Jackson trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Jackson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Scott swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Scott has momentary wrist control but Jackson slips an elbow through the middle.
Jackson wants to pass the guard but Scott is keeping the position.
Jackson postures up in Scott's guard and throws a big left but Scott blocks it.

Scott looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Scott wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Jackson is now in half guard.

Jackson is stalling here. Scott is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Jackson seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Scott has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Jackson is trying to work for a sweep but Scott has mounted him!
Jackson manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Jackson makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Jackson.

Scott wants to pass the guard but Jackson is keeping the position.
Scott has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Jackson is proving hard to escape from.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jackson lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Scott does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Jackson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Scott counters with a straight that turns Jackson's legs to rubber! Scott pushes forward with more strikes and Jackson goes down, battered and bloody! That's a wrap folks!
