PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Masters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and shafopi ioboiv (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). ioboiv has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. shafopi ioboiv told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
ioboiv will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
ioboiv swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
ioboiv feints a jab promting Masters to slip. ioboiv then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Masters slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

It looks like Chris Masters has been cut.
ioboiv lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by ioboiv.
ioboiv looks gassed!
ioboiv swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Masters closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming ioboiv to the mat! ioboiv manages to get full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This has been an exciting period of action!
ioboiv utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
