Katekismus comes to the cage accompanied by Reima's Requiem. Kirunda has chosen The Hellacopters - In The Sign of Octopus as his entrance music. Kalema Kirunda has the better chin. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Katekismus shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Kirunda is trying to defend but Katekismus finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Katekismus seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Katekismus working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Kirunda's thigh. Kirunda counters though and makes it back to full guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kirunda can do anything to dispel that myth.

Katekismus looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kirunda with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Katekismus shoots in looking for a takedown. Kirunda tries to sprawl out of it but Katekismus keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kirunda manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

and Kirunda counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

It looks like Reima Katekismus has been cut.

and Kirunda connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
