PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kool Bool (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy DumbTree (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

DumbTree scores with a takedown into Bool's guard.
Bool doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
DumbTree is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
DumbTree content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
DumbTree thows a big elbow that misses.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells DumbTree's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
DumbTree postures up.
DumbTree advances position into side control!
Bool knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for DumbTree on the ground.
Bool seems a little lost for a moment, as DumbTree dominates the positioning.
Bool struggling a bit here.

DumbTree thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
DumbTree working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

DumbTree is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Bool will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
DumbTree has control of an arm but Bool manages to advance to DumbTree's back!
DumbTree staying busy and making it hard for Bool to control.
DumbTree controlling Bool 's hands.
Bool misses with an elbow to the head.
Bool is trying to control but DumbTree is trying to escape here - he's now mounted.
DumbTree gets back to half guard.

DumbTree has one foot on Bool's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Bool misses with a looping right.
Bool is breathing heavily.

DumbTree fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bool sprawls well initially but DumbTree persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
DumbTree is nestled in close to Bool, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
DumbTree is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
BOOM! DumbTree connects with a massive shot to the dome!
This has been an exciting period of action!
DumbTree scoring with strikes but Bool is staying in there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bool taking shots to the head.
DumbTree postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Bool badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of DumbTree around the waist but DumbTree pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! DumbTree is the winner by TKO! DumbTree jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
