Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Alf Histon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and BJ Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Histon comes to the cage accompanied by Saliva - Ladies and Gentlemen. Alf Histon is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Alf Histon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 13 - 0, fighting out of London, BJ Penn!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Steven Brown and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Histon has his takedown stuffed
and Penn counters with a straight right hand.
Histon slips a straight right by Penn.
Penn bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Histon's head.
Penn throws a hook to the side of Histon's head but Histon sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Penn tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Histon was well out of range. Poor timing from Penn.

and Penn decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Histon's guard.
Penn looking to sit in guard and control but Histon gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Histon wants to pass the guard but Penn is keeping the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Alf Histon.

You can see the frustration on Histon's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Histon is trying to get back to his feet but Penn has full control of the position and if anything, Histon has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Well, with Penn on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Histon is tapping out... Can he escape the position?
Histon rolls, trying to escape but Penn keeps control of the position.

Penn is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Histon is defending well though. Penn let's go of the attempt for now.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Histon's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Penn bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Histon's guard.

Penn wants to pass to mount but Histon is defending the position.
Histon is trying to maintain the position but Penn is very close to passing his half guard.

Penn is looking for a kimura here.
Penn looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Histon with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

BJ Penn showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Penn is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Histon is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Histon has escaped and now he's on top!

Histon has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Penn is proving hard to escape from.
Histon throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Penn works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Histon distracts Penn with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Histon swings around for an armbar but Penn sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Histon's guard.
Penn is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Histon might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

OK we're going to have a standup here. BJ Penn hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Penn decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Histon tries to kick Penn off but Penn keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

BJ Penn comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Penn has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
