PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lee Phillips (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Kidd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Phillips comes into the arena with Tarantula blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kidd instigates a clinch.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Phillips's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Kidd can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Phillips is looking to escape.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close round but I would say that Lee Phillips will probably get the nod.
