The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Law shoots in and drives through. Bryne sprawls well.

Law changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bryne looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Bryne can't do much from the bottom here.
Bryne is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Bryne tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Law easily slips into full mount!

Law with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Bryne is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Law pulls his head out easily.

Law seems to be working for a kimura but Bryne defends the submission attempt.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Law really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Both fighters circling a little - Bryne finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Bryne rushes Law and presses him up against the cage.
Bryne is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Law is keeping busy.

Law pulls guard.
Bryne stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Law swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Law working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bryne doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bryne manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Bryne has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

Bryne is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Bryne looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Law is hanging on to Bryne's back as he tries to escape.
Law lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Bryne.
Bryne is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Law.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Bryne tries a head kick but it misses.
Law shoots in for a double leg but Bryne sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Bryne throws a combination. Law tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Bryne tries to keep at a distance but Law has taken the fight into the clinch.
Bryne has had enough of the clinch but Law keeps him there for the moment.
Law wants to break the clinch but can't.
Law tries to stall but Bryne uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Bryne wants to break free but Law has control.

Bryne breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
A head kick from Bryne lands but Law takes it in his stride.

Law bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Law wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Bryne, who protects the arm well.

Bryne sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Law not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Bryne wants to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bryne is staying active underneath Law, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Law passes to side control.

Law has hold of Bryne's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Bryne tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Law cranks the arm and Bryne screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Bryne, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
