The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Xavier is defended easily by Aldo.
A decent looking cross lands there for Aldo.
Aldo misses with a low kick.
Aldo connects with a looping right hand.
Aldo throws a nice looking combination but Xavier bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Aldo throws a series of punches but Xavier moves out of range.

Xavier closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Aldo is working to avoid the ground and pound but Xavier connects with a decent elbow.
Aldo is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Xavier asserts his dominance and retains side control.
