Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Benji Baracka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ishida Kento (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Baracka comes to the cage accompanied by In The Air Tonight. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Benji Baracka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ishida Kento!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kento shoots and misses
and Baracka counters with a straight right hand.
Kento misses with a takedown
enabling Baracka to counter with a crisp jab.
Baracka circles away from the clinch attempt
and Baracka connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Baracka has managed to clinch.

Baracka's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

and Baracka counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Baracka.
Baracka pushes Kento back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.


It looks like Ishida Kento has been cut.

Baracka has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Kento is trying to keep an underhook but Baracka manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Baracka wants to take a breather but Kento is having none of it.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Baracka connects with a nice short shot to Kento's temple.

Baracka winds up and cracks Kento with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Kento is still in real trouble! Can Baracka finish him?

Baracka postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Kento to stand up.

Baracka has Kento up against the cage in a clinch.
Kento seems to have recovered his senses.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Baracka takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Kento tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Baracka smiles and moves away.
Benji Baracka has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ishida Kento.

Baracka seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kento does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Baracka tightens his grip and picks Kento up, before dumping him to the ground. Kento manages to land in guard.

Kento is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Kento is looking to escape.
Baracka is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Baracka postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Kento covers up, he's hurt! Baracka keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Baracka and the ref steps in to end the fight! Baracka can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
