Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vitor Belfort (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gargantua Pantagruel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pantagruel has chosen Some Bodies Gonna Get their Ass Kicked as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gargantua Pantagruel!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Matheus Silva and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pantagruel misses with a takedown
and Belfort counters with a stiff right hand.
It looks like Gargantua Pantagruel has been cut.
Pantagruel has a takedown stuffed.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Belfort keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Pantagruel is defended easily by Belfort.
Vitor Belfort has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gargantua Pantagruel.
Belfort throws a good cross that connects.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Belfort looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Pantagruel decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Belfort is trying to stand up here but Pantagruel is controlling him well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Belfort has hold of Pantagruel's hands but Pantagruel slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Pantagruel prevents Belfort from standing back up.
Pantagruel has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pantagruel prevents Belfort from standing back up.
Belfort is not content to let Pantagruel control the position.

Pantagruel passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Belfort!
Belfort defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Pantagruel.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Pantagruel cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Pantagruel lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Belfort really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Belfort is breathing heavily.

Pantagruel working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Belfort turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Pantagruel off and cradles Belfort's limp body as Pantagruel celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Gargantua Pantagruel!
