The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slapping body kick lands there for Silva.
Suzuki looks to land a right hand but Silva moved out of range.
Suzuki lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Silva connects with an inside leg kick.
Silva changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Danga de danga de dang - Silva scores with a four punch combination!
Suzuki dodges the punch combination from Silva.
Suzuki scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Suzuki gets caught flat footed, as Silva shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Silva tries to free his leg and advance position but Suzuki is retaining full guard.
Suzuki wants to sweep but no luck.

Suzuki has his hands clasped together around Silva's back. He's all about the action.
Suzuki is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Silva content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Suzuki tries to roll over but Silva keeps him under control.
Silva throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Silva working over Suzuki with some ground and pound. Suzuki looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Silva is keen to just control but Suzuki is a slippery customer.
Silva has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and Silva counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Suzuki has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Silva.

and Silva counters with a left and a right that stings Suzuki.

Silva throws a front kick aimed at Suzuki's knee but Suzuki avoids it well.

and Silva counters with a stiff right hand.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Suzuki throws an ugly left hook that misses

and Silva counters with a nice double leg into side control. Suzuki won't be happy with that.
Silva wants to lay and pray for a moment but Suzuki keeps working.
Silva is putting a hurting on Suzuki here, landing some big shots from side control.

Silva working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Suzuki avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Silva.

Silva is working to tighten is grip on Suzuki's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Suzuki has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Silva is really squeezing tight and eventually Suzuki passes out! Silva breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
