Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Diego Dos Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tiago Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Gracie's choice of entrance music: THE LAST OF THE MOHICANS. Tiago Gracie struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 186.3lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Diego Dos Santos looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shigeki Sano and Yukihiro Shimada.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dos Santos throws a head kick that misses.

Gracie shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Dos Santos is trying to defend but Gracie finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Gracie throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Dos Santos wants to stand back up but Gracie manages to pass into side control.

Gracie stands up and beckons Dos Santos to his feet.

Gracie closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Gracie controls the position.

Gracie decides to stand back up. Gracie steps back and let's Dos Santos get back to his feet.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Dos Santos enables Gracie to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Dos Santos manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Gracie seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Tiago Gracie.

Dos Santos gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Gracie to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Dos Santos is breathing heavily.

Gracie gets to his feet. Dos Santos looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Dos Santos tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Dos Santos wants to get back to his feet but Gracie is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Gracie sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Dos Santos's guard.

Gracie stands up and beckons Dos Santos to join him on the feet.

Gracie stands and throws Dos Santos's legs to the side, diving into side control.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Gracie has hold of Dos Santos's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Dos Santos seems comfortable defending it but Gracie has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Dos Santos is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Dos Santos is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Gracie couldn't care less - he's delighted!
