The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dupont gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Novotny cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Novotny shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Dupont manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Dupont looking for a guillotine here but Novotny defends easily.

Dupont escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Novotny gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Dupont has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Novotny can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Novotny postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Dupont is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Novotny, into his guard.
