PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sergio Roserio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pat Hiscock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roserio comes to the cage accompanied by Gladiator. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sergio Roserio!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Pat Hiscock!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Summer Carpenter and Hugh Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hiscock tries for a takedown but Roserio circles away easily
and Roserio counters with a straight right hand.
Roserio blocks a head kick by Hiscock.

Roserio bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Roserio is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hiscock is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Hiscock tries to bench press Roserio off him but Roserio keeps the position.
Hiscock really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Roserio. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Roserio landing a few strikes.
Roserio fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Roserio misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Roserio goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Hiscock rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Roserio's guard! Nice work there by Hiscock!

Roserio wants to sweep but no luck.

Roserio working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hiscock doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hiscock manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Hiscock missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Hiscock avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Roserio looking for a sweep. Not yet Roserio, not yet.
Hiscock is in close to Roserio's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Hiscock tries to free his leg and advance position but Roserio is retaining full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Roserio working for a triangle but Hiscock defends it easily.
Roserio is trying to keep Hiscock in close.

Hiscock wants to control from the top but Roserio keeps moving.
Hiscock stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Roserio swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Hiscock trying to control the position from guard on top but Roserio is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Roserio had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hiscock defends it easily.

Hiscock drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hiscock jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Roserio manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Hiscock is trying to escape the mount but Roserio keeps good control and instead manages to take Hiscock's back.

Roserio working for a choke but Hiscock is defending well.
Roserio is riding his opponent, not letting Hiscock buck him off.
Roserio wants to control the position but Hiscock frees himself and scrambles - Roserio manages to regain control in side control.

Roserio is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hiscock has escaped the position, nice work there.

Roserio has an Americana. Hiscock didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Roserio is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Roserio hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
