Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barappas keeps the fight on the outside.

Barappas goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Buckner turns into him and now he's in Barappas's guard.

Barappas is looking for a triangle but Buckner pushes his legs off easily.

Barappas is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Buckner wants to control but Barappas is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Buckner is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Barappas is looking for a kimura but Buckner is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Barappas to get the leverage.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Barappas throws a sloppy head kick and Buckner moves out of range easily.
Buckner moves in looking to clinch but Barappas pushes him off.
Barappas changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Buckner tries to avoid it but Barappas manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Buckner to the ground. Buckner escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Buckner attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Barappas on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Buckner. Buckner obviously looking to wear him down.
Barappas takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Barappas takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Barappas drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Buckner dives on top into guard.

Barappas is looking to sinch up a triangle. Buckner throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Barappas's body to avoid the submission. Barappas has instead reached around Buckner's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Barappas arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
