Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Juan Gabriel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Black comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Disturbed - Ten Thousand Fist kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Frank Black!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Steve Smith and William Peck.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Black paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

A jab-cross combination lands for Black and sends Gabriel crashing to the mat! Black follows him down to the mat - Gabriel regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

It looks like Juan Gabriel has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Black with the ground and pound but Gabriel uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Black throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Gabriel works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Black manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Gabriel manages to get himself to full guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gabriel can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Black controls the pace.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Frank Black hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Gabriel scores with a hook to the body. Black takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

and Black counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Gabriel throws a sloppy head kick and Black moves out of range easily.
Black avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

Gabriel takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Black bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Gabriel's head backwards.

Black grinds an elbow into Gabriel's temple.
Gabriel is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Gabriel regains half guard, as Black was trying to land strikes.
Black works his way into side control.

Black working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Frank Black dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Gabriel lands a left and a right that send Black crashing to the mat, dazed. Gabriel thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Juan Gabriel is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
The fighters circle momentarily. Black darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Gabriel throws a lazy uppercut
and Black counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Black connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Black defending well as Gabriel loads up on a big left hand.
Gabriel drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Black moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Gabriel ducks under a wild hook from Black.
Oh Gabriel is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Gabriel moves out of range as Black strikes.
Gabriel seems to have got his legs back now.
Black cracks Gabriel with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Gabriel falls to his knees and Black doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
