Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Billy Lane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ted Bundy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ted Bundy has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Billy Lane's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Billy Lane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ted Bundy!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lane closes the distance and pushes Bundy back into the cage.

Bundy breaks from the clinch.

Lane moves into the clinch.
Lane is trying to break the clinch but Bundy is controlling him.
Lane has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Bundy has Lane pressed against the cage, preventing Lane from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Bundy breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Lane throws a right hand that misses
and Bundy counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.


It looks like Billy Lane has been cut.
Lane scores with a nice strike.


It looks like Ted Bundy has been cut.

Lane has closed the distance and engaged Bundy in a clinch.
Lane is trying to break the clinch but Bundy is controlling him.
Lane throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Bundys head.
Lane is trying to stall.
Bundy gets through Lane's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Bundy scores with a nice hook to the head.
Bundy softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Lane wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Bundy has him pressed against the cage.
Lane lands with a short shot to the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Lane tries to break free but Bundy pushes him back against the cage.

Lane drives through and clinches with Bundy against the cage.
Bundy prevents Lane from breaking the clinch.
Lane has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Bundy keeps control of Lane as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Lane lands with a short shot to the head.
Lane can't break the clinch.
Lane is trying to push Bundy away but Bundy has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Lane wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Bundy has him pressed against the cage.
Lane tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Bundy has Lane pressed against the cage, preventing Lane from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Lane tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Bundy's elbow.
Lane is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Bundy's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Lane throws a jab when Bundy was well out of range.

Bundy shoots in and gets a takedown into Lane's guard.
Bundy is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Bundy's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Bundy stands up over Lane, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Bundy stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lane swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Lane is trying to control the position but Bundy postures up.
Bundy has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

We're going to have a standup here because Billy Lane wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Bundy doesn't manage to clinch there - Lane circles away.

Bundy closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Lane to the mat! Lane manages to get full guard.
Bundy slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Lane wants to control but Bundy passes easily into half guard.
Lane is refusing to be controlled, as Bundy sits in half guard.
Lane avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Bundy.
Lane is trying to control but can't.
Bundy tries to pass to full mount but Lane defends it.
Lane trying to control from the bottom.
Bundy is pressing down on Lane's thigh, looking to free his foot. Lane is holding on for now.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Lane has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bundy is working away from the top position though.
Lane tries to get to full guard but Bundy has control of the leg.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Billy Lane.
Lane misses with an uppercut
and Bundy counters with a two punch combo.
Lane is breathing heavily.

Bundy shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bundy showed some decent athleticism there.
Bundy thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Lane's head.

Lane keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Bundy is nestled in close to Lane, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lane is looking to control Bundy's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Lane avoid being mounted?
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lane is looking to improve his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ted Bundy dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Lane uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Bundy.
Bundy looks to throw the jab but Lane is out of range.
Bundy tries to clinch but Lane is having none of it.
Bundy uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Lane.
Lane swings for the body but Bundy moves out of range.
Bundy wants to clinch up but Lane keeps it at a distance.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Lane!
Lane throws an off balance right hand

and Bundy counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Lane's guard now.
Bundy scoring with punches to the head and body.
Bundy wants to control from the top but Lane keeps moving.
Bundy landing with the ground and pound.
Lane controls Bundy momentarily but Bundy frees himself.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Bundy is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Bundy working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Bundy stops Lane from standing up.
Bundy wants to control from the top but Lane keeps moving.
Bundy stopping the sweep attempt from Lane.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Lane avoids a punch combination nicely.

Bundy has taken the fight to the clinch.
Lane tries to stall but Bundy uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Bundy breaks from the clinch.
Lane avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Lane swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Bundy counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Bundy.
Bundy makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Lane tries to circle away but Bundy has him pinned against the cage.
Lane wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Bundy has him pressed against the cage.

Bundy breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Lane lands a body shot.
Bundy feints a jab promting Lane to slip. Bundy then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Lane slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Bundy dances in with a quick combination. Lane is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Bundy snaps Lane's head back. Lane stumbles backwards against the cage. Bundy steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Lane's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Lane just didn't come prepared.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Ted Bundy!
