Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mathew Swoop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Zambidis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Swoop looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Zambidis tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Mathew Swoop seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Zambidis misses with a head kick.
Swoop shoots in for a takedown but Zambidis shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Swoop gets a clinch.

Zambidis throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Swoops head.

Swoop escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Swoop changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Zambidis tries to avoid it but Swoop manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Zambidis to the ground. Zambidis escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and Zambidis counters with a head kick that drops Swoop - he's looking to finish, following his stunned foe to the ground!
It looks like Zambidis is going to stand back up.

Zambidis perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Mike Zambidis is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Swoop closes the distance and pushes Zambidis back into the cage.
Zambidis using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Swoop has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Zambidis tries to land a knee to the head but Swoop blocks with his arms.
Zambidis looks to throw an elbow but misses.

Swoop has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Zambidis is trying to keep an underhook but Swoop manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Swoop decides to return to a standing position.
Swoop fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Zambidis manages to avoid it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Swoop tries to close the distance and clinch but Zambidis swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Swoop looks for a takedown but Zambidis sprawls well.
Zambidis throws a head kick but Swoop moves out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Swoop is just content to waste time from the top position. Zambidis takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Swoop controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Zambidis wants to sweep but no luck.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Mathew Swoop.
Swoop is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

and Zambidis counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Zambidis lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Swoop circles away quickly and effectively.
Swoop moves in looking to clinch but Zambidis pushes him off.
Swoop tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Zambidis swivels and escapes.
