Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pete Quinn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Asser Toropainen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Quinn comes to the cage accompanied by The Blood of Cuchulainn. Toropainen is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Paleface-Syntynyt rellestää. Asser Toropainen has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Pete Quinn's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Asser Toropainen!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Illya Tyunina and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Toropainen throws a push kick but Quinn slaps the foot to one side.
Quinn stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Quinn wants it to stay on the feet.
Nice takedown defense from Quinn. No joy for Toropainen on that attempt.

Quinn loads up on a big right hand but Toropainen slips the punch.

Toropainen slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Toropainen fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Quinn avoids it really well and circles away.

Toropainen is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Quinn is just riding it out for now. Toropainen eventually gives up the hold.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Toropainen is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Toropainen had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Quinn defends it easily.
Quinn wants to get up but he can't break Toropainen's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Toropainen isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Quinn stacks Toropainen on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Quinn!

Asser Toropainen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Toropainen lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Toropainen is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Quinn is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Toropainen creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Quinn sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
