Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Waters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Trinckelton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Waters comes into the arena with Skillet Monster blaring out of the sound system. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Joe Waters!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 1, fighting out of London, Tony Trinckelton!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Richard Clark and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Waters walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Waters misses with a left hand

and Trinckelton counters with a shoot takedown. Waters fights it but they end up in guard.
Trinckelton is looking to work some ground and pound but Waters has wrist control.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Trinckelton accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Trinckelton decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Trinckelton closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Waters to the mat! Waters manages to get full guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Trinckelton wants to control from the top but Waters keeps moving.
Trinckelton throws a big right hand that misses.
Trinckelton chips away with some ground and pound.
Waters might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Trinckelton throws a strike but Waters rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Waters drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Trinckelton dives on top into guard.

Trinckelton stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Waters swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Waters not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Trinckelton tries to free his leg and advance position but Waters is retaining full guard.
Waters has a closed guard, preventing Trinckelton from standing up.

Waters is breathing heavily.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Trinckelton postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Trinckelton fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Waters, pushing him back against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Trinckelton's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Waters wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Trinckelton has him pressed against the cage.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Waters.

Trinckelton ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Trinckelton no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Waters postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Trinckelton is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Waters, into his guard.

Waters is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Waters is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Trinckelton is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Trinckelton has escaped and now he's on top!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Waters is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Trinckelton is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Waters defends well.
Trinckelton has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Trinckelton is staying active underneath Waters, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Waters is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Trinckelton is just riding it out for now. Waters eventually gives up the hold.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Trinckelton is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Waters is aware though and is defending well.

and Trinckelton counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Trinckelton wanted to stand there but Waters had control of the position.
Trinckelton is breathing heavily.

Trinckelton decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Waters misses the shot to the body.
Waters throws an off balance right hand

and Trinckelton counters with a single leg into guard. Waters didn't expect that.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tony Trinckelton showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Waters stands up and beckons Trinckelton to his feet.

Trinckelton changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Waters looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Trinckelton scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Trinckelton shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Waters pinned against the cage. Waters gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Waters is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Trinckelton's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.

Trinckelton wants to control but Waters is keeping him busy.

Joe Waters has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Trinckelton wants to take a breather but Waters is having none of it.

Tony Trinckelton comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Trinckelton winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
