Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Busta Gravy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gregory Sanchez!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Daniel Blasius and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Gravy has a couple of punches blocked by Sanchez.

Sanchez pulls Gravy into guard.
Gravy will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Sanchez is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Gravy wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
Sanchez keeps control of the position as Gravy tries to break free.

Gravy tries to roll but Sanchez sticks to his back.
Sanchez has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Gravy's body.
I looks like Sanchez might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Gravy knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sanchez on the ground.
Gravy is trying to get back to his feet but Sanchez has full control of the position and if anything, Gravy has just worked his way into a worse spot.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sanchez really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Gravy.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Gregory Sanchez.

and Gravy counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Gravy closes the distance looking to clinch
and Sanchez counters with a low kick, right behind Gravy 's knee.
Sanchez misses with an uppercut
and Gravy counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Sanchez shoots in and drives through. Gravy sprawls well.
Sanchez throws a combination that misses
and Gravy counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
A solid leg kick lands there for Sanchez.
Sanchez lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Gravy wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Sanchez manages to pull guard.
Sanchez is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Gravy pushes Sanchez off looking to stand but Sanchez dives back in and keeps control.
Sanchez slows the pace down in half guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Let's hope that Sanchez has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Gregory Sanchez has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Sanchez shoots in for a double leg but Gravy sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Gravy moves to clinch but Sanchez breaks away

Sanchez manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Sanchez decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Sanchez's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Gregory Sanchez was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Gravy wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Sanchez manages to pass to side control.
Gravy pushes Sanchez off looking to stand but Sanchez dives back in and keeps control.
Gravy is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Sanchez jumps into side control!
Gravy is not content to let Sanchez control the position.

Gravy looking for a sweep but Sanchez has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Gravy wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Sanchez.

Sanchez throwing lazy shots from the back mount that aren't doing any damage.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Sanchez lands punches and elbows.
Gravy looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands.
I would not like to be Gravy right now.

Gregory Sanchez showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!


Gravy tries to clinch up

and Sanchez counters by clinching up.

Sanchez has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Gravy uses from the top position.

Gravy is desperately trying to improve his position but Sanchez has a good base and remains in mount.

Gregory Sanchez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Sanchez shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Sanchez has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Sanchez wants to control the pace but Gravy is squirming around nicely.
BOOM! Sanchez connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Gravy is in a horrible position here. Sanchez smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Sanchez cracks Gravy with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Gravy connects with a single shot there.

Sanchez has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Gravy uses from the top position.
Gravy throws a strike but Sanchez rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Gravy is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Sanchez dives into side control.
Busta Gravy has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Sanchez wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Gravy, who protects the arm well.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Gregory Sanchez comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Sanchez has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
