Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle Pierce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diaz kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Its not my time. Pierce has chosen Red Right Hand as his entrance music. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chris Diaz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kyle Pierce!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Joseph Jones and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
enabling Pierce to counter with a crisp jab.
Diaz ducks under a wild hook from Pierce.
Diaz throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Pierce.
Pierce misses with an uppercut
and Diaz connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Diaz throws a left and a right that both miss

and Pierce holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Diaz wants to break the clinch but can't.
Pierce lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Pierce scores with an uppercut up the middle.
A short body shot lands from Pierce as the two fighters clinch.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Pierce creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Pierce's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
A frustrated look appears on Diaz's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Pierce scores with an uppercut up the middle.

Pierce breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Pierce misses with a series of wild punches.
Diaz lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Diaz takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Diaz avoids a punch combination nicely.

Pierce throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Diaz fails to land with a series of punches.

and Pierce counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Pierce moves into the clinch successfully.

Pierce tightens his grip and picks Diaz up, before dumping him to the ground. Diaz manages to land in guard.
Pierce stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Diaz swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Pierce works over Diaz with some ground and pound from guard.
Pierce wants to control from the top but Diaz keeps moving.
Pierce lands a couple of elbows.
Pierce slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Diaz on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Diaz tries to get out of the position.

Pierce is putting a hurting on Diaz here, landing some big shots from side control.
Diaz tries to buck Pierce off but Pierce is having none of it.
Pierce landing strikes.
Pierce lands a few punches from side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Pierce misses with the ground and pound.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Diaz is working to avoid the ground and pound but Pierce connects with a decent elbow.

Pierce landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.

A big shot lands for Pierce! That's hurt Diaz! Will he recover? Pierce fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
