Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Japanese Carp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Bruin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carp comes into the arena with Turning Japanese blaring out of the sound system. Andrew Bruin will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Japanese Carp!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Andrew Bruin!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shigeki Fujiwara and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carp with a lazy takedown attempt

and Bruin counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Bruin.

Carp is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Carp looking for a sweep. Not yet Carp, not yet.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Carp is on top in guard.
Carp slips nicely into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Carp throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Carp prevents Bruin from improving his position.
Carp thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Bruin is holding on to half guard well.
Carp landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Bruin is looking for a sweep. Carp is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Carp is looking for a kimura here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Carp is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Carp working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Carp uses his free foot to push down on Bruin's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Bruin.
Carp landing strikes from the mount.
Carp connects with a bit shot that sees Bruin covering up! More strikes from Carp and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Carp is our winner by TKO!
