Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Van Diesel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boxing Bot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Van Diesel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Boxing Bot!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Chris Edwards and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Diesel tries to keep at a distance but Bot has taken the fight into the clinch.
Diesel lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Diesel gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Bot.
Diesel scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Diesel throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Bot breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Diesel slaps away a takedown attempt from Bot, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Bot closes the distance and clinches.
Bot tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Van Diesel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Boxing Bot.

Diesel escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Diesel lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Bot at a distance.
Diesel misses with a combination

and Bot counters by moving into the clinch.
Diesel lands a shot to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bot is trying to stall.

Bot manages to break the clinch.
Bot shoots in looking for a takedown. Diesel tries to sprawl out of it but Bot keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Diesel manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Bot tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Diesel counters with an outside leg kick.
Bot throws a right and a left that both miss.

Diesel has taken the fight to the clinch.
Diesel avoids the elbow strike from Bot, against the cage.

Bot jumps guard and drags Diesel to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Diesel looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bot is looking to stand up but Diesel isn't so interested in that idea.
Bot being controlled here, momentarily.
Bot wants to sweep but no luck.

Bot has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Diesel can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Diesel is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

We're going to have a standup here because Van Diesel wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Bot has a takedown stuffed.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Diesel tries to clinch but Bot moves out of range.

Diesel drives through and clinches with Bot against the cage.
Bot jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Diesel walks away with a smile on his face. Bot gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
A head kick misses from Bot.
Diesel misses with a double jab
and Bot counters with a two punch combo.
Van Diesel is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Diesel is breathing heavily.
Bot shoots in looking for a takedown but Diesel manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Bot's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Bot will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Bot tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Diesel holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Bot tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Diesel just stands there and leans against the cage.
Bot looking to stall.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Diesel pulls guard.
Diesel keeping moving, preventing Bot from controlling successfully.
Bot won't allow Diesel to get back to his feet.

Bot trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Bot is looking to stand up but Diesel won't let him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Van Diesel will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Bot tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Diesel paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Diesel is looking to clinch.
Bot shoots for a double leg takedown but Diesel sprawls well. He's pushed Bot's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Diesel throws a poor cross that misses
and Bot counters with a series of strikes. Diesel will be more careful next time no doubt.

Diesel gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.


Diesel is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Bot pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Diesel is keeping the position for now.

Bot gets to his feet. Diesel looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Diesel keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Diesel keeps the fight on the outside.

Nice sprawl there from Diesel as Bot shoots in.
Bot shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Diesel as he avoids it easily.
Van Diesel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Boxing Bot.

Bot moves in looking to clinch but Diesel pushes him off.
Bot tries to clinch there but Diesel circles away.

Van Diesel is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Diesel has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

Bot looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Diesel is fending him off so far but Bot persists. Nope, Diesel circles away and we're back to standing.
Boxing Bot seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Bot shoots in looking for a takedown but Diesel manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Bot's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Bot changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Diesel takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Bot tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Bot is looking to clinch but Diesel is avoiding it.
No luck for Bot with that takedown attempt.

Bot closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Diesel quickly recovers to half guard.
Diesel scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Bot manages to mount him!

Bot stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Bot wants to clinch.
Bot throws the kick towards the body but Diesel avoids it.
Bot shoots in for a takedown but Diesel shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Bot shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Diesel pinned against the cage. Diesel gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Bot is trying hard to land a takedown here. Diesel sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Bot tries to bum rush Diesel with a series of wild strikes but Diesel uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Bot shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Diesel but Diesel pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Bot changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Diesel tries to avoid it but Bot manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Diesel to the ground. Diesel escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Bot.
Diesel tries to clinch up but Bot circles away and keeps his distance.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Horrible takedown by Bot or perhaps it was just good defense by Diesel which made him look bad.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Boxing Bot showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Bot changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Diesel tries to avoid it but Bot manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Diesel to the ground. Diesel escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Bot counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Diesel leaves Bot with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

and Diesel takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Sloppy strikes from Bot. Those never looked like landing.
Bot circles away from the clinch attempt.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bot tries for a takedown but Diesel sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Bot shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Diesel as he jumps to the side.

And that's the end of the fight!
Van Diesel showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Diesel has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
