The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silva closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Silva lands in his opponent's guard.
Tugarinov looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Silva is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Silva throws a big right hand that misses.
Silva postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Silva drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Silva jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Tugarinov keeping moving, preventing Silva from controlling successfully.

Tugarinov is looking for a triangle but Silva pushes his legs off easily.

Silva wants to control from the top but Tugarinov keeps moving.
Tugarinov should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Silva drops back looking for a leg! Tugarinov is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Tugarinov manages to kick Silva off! Silva jumps back into Tugarinov's guard.
Silva is pushing down on Tugarinov's leg trying to pass to half guard. Tugarinov is fighting to maintain full guard but Silva has managed to sneak the leg through.

Silva lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Silva is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Tugarinov doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Silva.
Tugarinov is staying active underneath Silva, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Tugarinov is looking to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tugarinov is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Silva scores with a couple of nice shots.
Silva slips a nice elbow through Tugarinov's hands, connecting with Tugarinov's forehead.

Silva looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Silva is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Tugarinov is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
