Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Woopass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Flaubert Canto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kyle Woopass has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Canto shoots in and gets a takedown into Woopass's guard.

Woopass has an active guard here but Canto has managed to pass into half guard.
Woopass is trying to control but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Canto with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

Canto takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Canto tries to stand and escape but Woopass is controlling the position.
Canto looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Canto gets to his feet - back to striking we go!

Woopass shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Canto but Canto pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Canto shoots in and gets a takedown into Woopass's guard.
Woopass has momentary wrist control but Canto slips an elbow through the middle.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Woopass escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Canto gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Canto decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Woopass, up you get!

Woopass goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Canto has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Woopass but great work by Canto.

Canto decides to stand back up.

Woopass closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Woopass lands in his opponent's guard.

Woopass drops back, looking for a kneebar! Canto looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Canto looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Canto!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Woopass drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Canto manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Woopass has Canto in his guard.

Woopass throws a big right hand that misses.
Woopass stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Canto swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Woopass postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Canto is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Woopass, into his guard.

Canto stands and steps away. Woopass gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Canto throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Woopass tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Canto is in Woopass's guard.

Woopass has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Canto can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Canto bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Woopass swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Canto is now in Woopass's guard. A big mistake from Woopass there, giving up the dominant position!

Woopass isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Canto stacks Woopass on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Canto!

Canto shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Woopass is trying to defend but Canto finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Canto perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Woopass wants to improve his position but Canto is controlling well.
Woopass has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Canto is working away from the top position though.
Woopass is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Canto is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Well Canto has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
