Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jose Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Francois Dubonet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dubonet will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Smith throws a push kick but Dubonet slaps the foot to one side.
Dubonet misses with a head kick.
Dubonet stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Dubonet wants it to stay on the feet.
Smith shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dubonet as he jumps to the side.
Dubonet throws a head kick but Smith moves out of range.
Smith throws a leg kick
and Dubonet counters with a head kick.
An inside leg kick from Dubonet misses.
Dubonet fails to land with a series of punches.
Dubonet throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Smith fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jose Smith. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Smith shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Dubonet defends it nicely.

Dubonet stuffs the takedown attempt from Smith. Smith gets slowly back to his feet.
Smith throws the left hand but Dubonet avoids the punch easily.
Smith takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Dubonet throws a body kick that misses.
Smith takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Dubonet throws a head kick but Smith moves out of range.
Dubonet connects with a leg kick. Smith looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Dubonet rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Smith moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Smith has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Dubonet.
Smith sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Dubonet misses with a wild combination.
Dubonet keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
A solid leg kick lands there for Dubonet.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Smith.
Smith is breathing heavily.
Dubonet looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Smith takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Dubonet throws a head kick that misses.
A thudding body kick lands there by Dubonet!
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Dubonet, right into the meat.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Smith. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Dubonet moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Dubonet throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Left hook, right uppercut from Dubonet.
Dubonet misses with a two punch combination.
Dubonet looks to land a combination but Smith avoids it well.
Dubonet misses with a head kick.
Dubonet lands with a kick to the temple. Smith shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Smith shoots in but Dubonet avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Dubonet throws a head kick that Smith semi-blocks.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Dubonet throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Smith.
Smith takes a kick to the side of the head.
Dubonet lands with a kick to the temple. Smith shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Dubonet connects with a stiff jab that staggers Smith - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
